A vain emperor buys a coat that can be seen only by people who are fit for their jobs. But he can't see it! Nor can his trusted servants and advisors or any of the townspeople. They don't want to admit that they are stupid and unfit, so they all praise the fine colors and fabric, until one small boy shouts out correctly that the emperor is just in his underwear. This story is based on the 1837 tale from Danish author, Hans Christian Andersen.
